The concept of Lean Management is a method that was first applied at the world-famous Toyota company, by the corporation’s production chief Ohno. The Toyota Production System (TPS) was characterized by producing high quality products while consuming far fewer resources than other companies.

Lean Management will find application in any manufacturing and service enterprise, provided, however, that those managing it are convinced of the need to implement improvements and understand the need for change.
